Biography of Dr. Terrie
Dr. Terrie D. Van Alstyne, N.D. is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who recently opened the Qualicum Naturopathic Clinic after relocating from her Naturopathic practice in Whitby, Ontario.
She graduated in 2001 after four years of study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
Before completing 3 ½ years of premedical studies at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Terrie traveled extensively, living in France, England and Japan. The time spent in Japan sparked a keen interest in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. While teaching English in Japan, Terrie found that many Japanese were also interested in western cuisine so she organized classes and taught Healthy Gourmet cooking. Since then, Terrie has completed additional intensive courses in Homeopathy, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Matrix Repatterning and Consciousness Repatterning.
She worked in the hospitality industry for many years both as a chef and manager after being awarded a Culinary Management diploma in 1988 from George Brown College in Toronto. Terrie spent her formative high school years in Whitby, Ontario.
